Pool of Ideas    A design approach: “Studies on foliation in models. How does the auditorium fit within the building? How are the sections levels between the trees?“ Together with students of the newly founded Evangelische Schule Berlin Zentrum, the Baupiloten have developed the conceptual foundation for the design of a school “marketplace” within the framework of the seminar “Form Follows Fiction”. Central aspects of the school’s learning environment include a commitment to civil society and community, as well as social and environmental responsibility. The challenge is to revive a school building constructed in the GDR in the 1960’s. The comprehensive school is to be creatively redesigned in order to allow for lasting community teamwork and to spark new ideas for the development of schools and city districts.
