Energy efficient renovation and modernization  Built in 1961, Siegmunds Hof dormitory is located in the vicinity of the university between the Spree River and Tiergarten Park. The Baupiloten have developed both a multifaceted living facility and an imaginative ecological landscape in accordance with the desires of student residents. Born out of the concept a healthy, eco-conscious, and community oriented living environment, "Ökopop" combines two seemingly contradictory living ideals: the pulsating urban experience and the serene and restorative rural atmosphere.
