EMG2 Partizipation
Earth - Fire - Water - Air      is the theme the teachers and pupils wanted to employ for the transformation of their school building. At the same time the Baupiloten wanted to examine what architectural potential might be derived from the Montessori pedagogical system. The Baupiloten experiment with the particular effects and qualities of fire, air, water and earth spaces in order to develop a sensuous architecture and to create innovative spaces for learning and well-being that will suit the ideals of a Montessori school. At the end of June 2006 the Baupiloten will show their concept of architectural transformation to the pupils, teachers and the senator of education showing that architectural space can act perfectly well as the “third pedagogue”.
